MATCH: Mediterranean as the Climate Hotspot brings together artists, cultural organisations and community gardens to promote awareness of and involvement in regenerative, self-sufficient and community-based lifestyles. The selected artists will also take part in an integrated capacity-building programme, which offers shared learning opportunities on cultural and grassroots work that responds proactively to the climate emergency. This continuous learning process will culminate in the creation of a policy framework focused on climate change, culture and the arts.

For 18 months, MATCH will take place in Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Spain and Turkey, benefiting the entire Mediterranean region by creating a transnational network of artists and cultural and creative professionals to reflect on the relationship between climate change, culture and the arts.

MATCH brings together five cultural organisations based in the Mediterranean:
Mapa das Ideias (PT), D6:EU (CY), La Friche la Belle de Mai (FR), BJCEM (BE) and National Technical University of Athens (GR), all in collaboration with local arts partners and community gardens: La Escocesa (ES), K2 Contemporary Art Centre (TR), Gardens of the Future (CY), Delta Pi (GR) and Duncan Dance Research Centre (GR).
