National Conference on Heritage Valorisation

Registration is now open for the National Conference on Heritage Valorisation, an event dedicated to reflection, sharing of best practices and innovation in cultural heritage preservation and promotion.

The meeting will take place at the iconic Barcarena Gunpowder Factory and will bring together heritage interpreters, students, representatives of public institutions, cultural experts, and educational agents. With a diverse programme, the conference will provide a space for dialogue on the contemporary challenges of heritage enhancement and promote cooperation between national and European entities.

During the event, two benchmark projects funded by the ERASMUS+ and Creative Europe programmes will be presented:

  • TEHIC – Cultural Heritage and Technological Innovation: new tools for mediating and promoting heritage.
  • Dancing Histor(y)ies – A performative and participatory approach to collective memory and territory.

Preliminary programme:

  • 9:30 a.m. – Welcome
  • 10:00 a.m. – Welcome session
  • 10:15 a.m. – Visit to the Black Powder Museum
  • 11:30 a.m. – Presentation of the Dancing Histor(y)ies and TEHIC projects
  • 2:00 p.m. – Round table: "The Heritage Valorisation"
  • 2:45 p.m. – Parallel sessions for sharing practices and experiences
  • 5:15 p.m. – Closing session
