One of TEHIC's main legacies is the development of the first European Master's Degree (MA/MSc) in Heritage Interpretation — a pioneering postgraduate programme designed to train a new generation of interpreters as specialised professionals. This modular and flexible curriculum reflects the growing demand for skilled communicators who can make heritage meaningful, inclusive and engaging.

The programme equips students with theoretical knowledge and practical tools to work in museums, heritage sites, education and sustainable tourism. With a strong emphasis on ethics, community involvement and innovation, the course provides a solid foundation for those who wish to turn their passion for heritage into a professional career.

Another of TEHIC's main outcomes is a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), designed to make heritage interpretation training accessible to all. The course presents the European Heritage Interpretation Curriculum through four thematic modules and an introductory section.

Each unit includes a short video, a downloadable PDF, and a self-assessment quiz. Participants progress at their own pace and receive a certificate from the University of Gothenburg upon successful completion.

The MOOC was successfully tested by 285 participants, mainly aged between 18 and 30, who praised the clear structure of the course, its practical purpose and engaging content. Now available to everyone, the course is accessible in several languages and continues to support professionals and students across Europe in developing essential interpreting skills.
