We are excited to announce the start of the 3rd edition of the multidisciplinary pilot project Criar ao Livre, aimed at 8th-grade students and teachers from schools in the municipalities of Setúbal, Palmela, Grândola and Alcácer do Sal, covered by the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve, thanks to the support of Troia Natura and ICNF - Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests.
Special highlight: ‘Who eats what?’ workshop
We highlight the School workshop/game ‘Who eats what?’This is an innovative activity where learning meets creativity and fun. Using the Sado Estuary ecosystem as a backdrop, this giant board game explores trophic webs interactively and engagingly, promoting peer cohesion and effective learning.
Other Activities:
- Outdoor (re)Create Workshop: A fusion of nature observation, environmental education and collective art, guided by the Explorer's Notebook and the Curiosity Case.
- Workshop Criar ao Ar Livre A multidisciplinary journey outdoors, exploring nature with magnifying glasses, binoculars and artistic techniques, enriching the school curriculum with real experiences.
Supporting materials:
- Explorer's Notebook: A field diary for exploring the Sado Estuary, combining science, art and experience.
- Curiosity Box: A kit to arouse curiosity about local biodiversity, with 32 species of fauna and flora.
This project not only strengthens the connection with the territory and the community but also contributes to artistic and environmental education, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. Together, we are building civic and environmental awareness, promoting sustainability and global citizenship.
