This school year will be different — and it will begin with a unique "roadmap": AZIMUTE — navigating Portugal's Islamic heritage. A national educational project that invites schools across the country to transform cultural heritage into a living source of learning — free, interdisciplinary and open to teachers and students of all levels.
What does the project offer?
Certified training for teachers (25 hours) – dirigida a todas as áreas disciplinares, com foco na cidadania e na criação de recursos pedagógicos inovadores. Ao longo do ano letivo estão previstas 7 edições desta formação.
Travelling exhibition for schools – 10 illustrated panels revealing the Islamic legacy in Portugal (8th–13th centuries), accompanied by an educational booklet full of interdisciplinary proposals, creative ideas, and challenges to be applied in the classroom.
Why register your school?
Because the project embodies citizenship, creativity, history, and cultural engagement—all centred around a legacy that has shaped our identity: from architecture to agriculture, from language to science. An irresistible invitation for teachers and students to become explorers of our collective past.
Registration runs from September to November 2025, and places are limited. Now is the perfect time to prepare and register your school for this unique educational journey.
