My object

It was the little grey seeds that held my footsteps in place during the visit. Suddenly, I left the room for a place so far away, yet so familiar. I'm stuck in memories and, when I return, I ask myself: who is the artist? I read the caption. I don't know him. I wonder silently: how did an American think of these and where did he get them?
And just like that, in a small detail, we found each other.
