PT Maria João Nunes
Maria João has a degree in Modern and Contemporary History and several specialised courses in History, Heritage and Museum Mediation.
She has extensive experience as a researcher and creator of mediation projects and in the editorial coordination of educational editions. She was a senior consultant for the National Archaeological Museum in the European project "Eurovision - Museums Exhibiting Europe" (EMEE) between 2013 and 2015.
Since October 2022, she has been the communications coordinator for the Haggadah Association - Tikvá Museu Judaico Lisboa.
She has been with Mapa das Ideias since 2007, where she is responsible for the operational management of the Mediation area.
My object
My name is Maria João and I'm a "music addict". When I was 9 years old, I received the most memorable gift of my life: my first radio with a cassette player, which has moved with me from house to house for almost two decades.
From that moment on, I was never alone again. In the lyrics of other people's melodies, I found comfort, hope and joy. I found friends for life. In their sounds, I found dance.
In music, I find myself every day.
